Having worked as a dedicated Pilates Teacher since 2016 I have had the privilege of working with hundreds of clients from a diverse range of backgrounds over thousands of lessons. One undeniable truth I have learned is the immeasurable value of investing in ones health and wellbeing.
Throughout my career, I’ve had the honour of working with countless mothers, each navigating the landscape of motherhood. A common thread prevails: mothers wear many hats of responsibility—from being nurturing moms to assuming additional responsibilities as partners, business owners, corporate professionals, friends, even the logistical maestros behind family operations. The question arises: Amidst this array of responsibilities, who are mothers when they remove the various hats they wear? How can they strike a balance between their authentic selves and the roles essential for maintaining harmony in family life?
Four essential wellbeing tips for mothers to embrace:
Seek Support and Delegate:
Motherhood isn’t a solitary journey. Embrace strength in seeking help—leverage networks, rely on friends, family, or community services. Delegating is strategic for holistic wellbeing,
Intentional Time Management:
Approach time with the same deliberation as budgeting. Allocate it thoughtfully, treating each moment as a precious investment in activities aligned with priorities.
Prioritise Personal Fulfilment:
Acknowledge the significance of energising activities. Prioritise the things that contribute positively to mental, emotional, and physical wellbeing.
Embrace Life’s Unpredictability:
Life lacks a guidebook; everyone navigates uniquely. Recognise your best efforts may vary daily—embrace life’s natural ebbs and flows.
In the tapestry of motherhood, these principles can empower mothers to fulfil responsibilities while also discovering the delicate balance between ones self, ones responsibility and ones family. You got this Mama!
