Here’s 12 simple phrases to get us started…
– Voorzichtig – Careful.
– Pas op – Careful – pay attention.
– Let op – Pay attention.
– Zachtjes met dat kindje – Gentle with that (little) child.
– Ga maar van de glijbaan, maar wacht even op het kindje voor je – You can go from the slide, but wait a second for that child in front of you.
– Niet duwen / trekken – don’t push / pull.
– Van wie is deze bal? – Who’s ball is this?
– Is dit schepje van jou? Mag ze hem even? – Is this little shovel yours? Can she use it for a second?
– Om de beurt, oké? – Take turns, okay?
– Nu is het haar beurt. – It’s her turn now.
– Kom, we moeten gaan. – We must go.
– Tot de volgende keer, zeg maar: doei doei! – See you next time, say: bye bye.
